Research Grand Rounds: Triglyceride-rich lipoproteins - New advances in diagnostics and therapies

Date Fri, Mar 10
Time 12: 00 PM - 1: 00 PM
Location Virtual

Dr. Remaley is Senior Investigator and Section Chief of the Lipoprotein Metabolism laboratory in the Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Branch of the NHLBI.  He joined the NIH following his medical, graduate and clinical training in 1990 and has built a multifaceted clinical and translational research program focused on better understanding lipoprotein metabolism and disease mechanisms in humans, in patients with rare diseases and in understudied populations and to translate new insights from basic biochemistry, cell biology, and transgenic animal models into new approaches to diagnose, prevent, and treat cardiovascular disease.

He draws on these multiple translational approaches to address clinical needs in his talk today focused on triglyceride-rich lipoproteins.
