Congrats to Dr. Nadella for his first author publication with Digestive Diseases and Sciences titled Cholecystokinin Receptor Antagonist Therapy Decreases Inflammation and Fibrosis in Chronic Pancreatitis.

Two GHUCCTS scholars selected to give oral presentations at ACTS 2020 virtual conference.

GHUCCTS is proud to announce that two of our scholars have been selected to provide oral presentations during this year’s Association for Clinical and Translational Science (ACTS) virtual conference. Only six scholars were selected to present from a very competitive pool of abstract submissions.

Oral presentations are scheduled for Thursday, April 16, 2020.

Unique Vaginal Microbiome Populations and Microbial Gene Content Among Women Who Naturally Control HIV Progression

Dr. Kate Michel is an Assistant Professor with the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Georgetown University School of Medicine. She was named a GHUCCTS KL2 scholar in 2019 after completing her GHUCCTS TL1 appointment. She is currently mentored by a GHUCCTS KL2 scholar alum, Dr. Seble Kassaye, MD, MS, Assistant Professor with the Department of Infectious Diseases at the Georgetown University School of Medicine.

Alan Fowler is a Ph.D. candidate in the Georgetown University Interdisciplinary Program in Neuroscience. His mentor is Dr. Charbel Moussa in the Department of Neurology at Georgetown University.

Dr. Gay is one of the recipients of a 2020 AACR Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Award!

Dr. Martha Gay was been selected as one of the recipients of a 2020 American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) Minority Scholar in Cancer Research Award from the AACR-Minorities in Cancer Research Council.
